We at the Editorial Freelancers Association are saddened and distressed by the increasing violence against the Asian American and Pacific Islander community since the beginning of the pandemic. We stand with the AAPI community in sorrow and in solidarity to condemn violent or hateful acts.

Members are encouraged to raise their voices to spread awareness, support local and national organizations fighting hate and racism, amplify diverse stories and perspectives, and seek solutions, including fostering inclusive language (see, for example, Conscious Style Guide and other resources) and taking bystander intervention training for situations in which they can safely intervene.
