Have you ever wondered where the EFA finds instructors for its webinars and courses? You might be surprised to learn that most of our classes start out as pitches from freelancers like you! There’s no requirement that our instructors work in a particular area of the field, have a certain amount of experience, or hold any kind of credential. You don’t even have to be an EFA member. All you need is some expertise related to freelancing or editing, and the willingness to share it.
In this free 40-minute session, you’ll learn how the EFA’s education program works for instructors, from your initial inquiry through teaching the class—and, of course, getting paid! As an organization of freelancers, we’re passionate about treating our freelance instructors well and fairly, so we’ll go over our standard contract terms and standardized pay rates. You’ll leave inspired and ready to work up and send us your pitch. We can’t wait for you to share your voice and experience with our community of freelance editors and editing-adjacent professionals.
