SBN Editorial Services

Hi, I’m Susi, an editor, writer, marketing specialist, wife, and mom with a bit of a coffee addiction!
At first glance, editing and marketing may seem like an odd combination. After nearly 20 years in marketing, I leaned toward assignments that involved writing and editing website and email content.

Meanwhile, I also wrote a few novels (which are still sitting somewhere on my computer because my neurodivergent brain can’t seem to hit “send” on any of the query letters). I joined writing and critique groups and was always the first to volunteer to beta-read other people’s stories. I loved editing fiction—almost as much as writing it!

That led to classes. I obtained a copyediting certification and then took a few developmental editing courses and then a few more. Learning is fun, and I can’t get enough of it.

As a neurodivergent woman with chronic illnesses, I found myself drawn to stories with characters facing similar challenges—but found they often leaned on stereotypes rather than lived experiences. I genuinely feel these stories are essential, and I love seeing these characters live fulfilling lives.
