Sorcha Gunne

Novel Adventure Editorial

I’m an Irish writer, editor, and researcher living in beautiful Norway! With a PhD in literature and nearly 20 years of experience teaching, researching, and editing stories, I bring a deep love of narrative and a sharp eye for storytelling. Beyond the credentials, I’m a lifelong book lover who’s endlessly curious about the power of stories to entertain, inspire, and connect us. My favorite part of what I do is working alongside authors to craft imaginative, impactful books—stories that resonate with readers long after the final page.

Why you’ll love working with me:

  • PhD in Literature: I live for entertaining stories and deep, layered characters. My academic background means I’m a pro at unpacking techniques of the craft.
  • Academic Editing Expertise: I’ve honed my skills editing academic works and now I’m getting back to fiction because it’s my first love.
  • 20+ Years of Teaching Fiction & Literary Theory: I make the tricky stuff easy to understand.
  • Formal Developmental Editing Training: I’ve got the training to refine your story in your voice.
  • Specializing in Gender & Feminism: If your story explores identity or sociocultural themes, I’m here to help you deepen those layers with nuance.
