Hi, I’m September Herrin.

​I help authors put their best work forward.​​

As a book editor specializing in line and developmental editing, I primarily work with indie authors, small presses, and professionals who write.

While I have eclectic taste and am open to most genres, I have ample experience in contemporary fiction, urban fiction, horror, mysteries, spec-fic, and thrillers.

As for nonfiction, much of my experience lies in the wellness industry including mindfulness, hypnosis, and plant-based lifestyle. I also love working on memoirs.

I serve on the Board of Governors for the Editorial Freelancers Association, and I belong to the Northwest Editors Guild. I am a graduate of the Certificate in Editing program at University of Washington. I am also the founder of Sasquatch Club, a Seattle-based writing collective, and founder and Editor-in-Chief at Weird Lit Magazine, a quarterly literary magazine launching in 2024.

I pride myself in finding what is at the core of a project and ensuring its essence is recognized through focused, insightful editing.
