I am a veteran teacher of 11 years, with a specialty in middle school. I am certified in English Language Arts (6-12) and Social Sciences (6-9). I also have experience proofreading doctoral dissertations and content management of professional websites.
My passion for the English language has been prevalent my entire academic life: high school, undergrad, and my graduate studies. If it’s help with grammar, spelling, or finding the right word, I’m your girl!
For deep editing, I use Shani Raja’s 9-Step Editing Process as my go-to reference, along with other resources such as The Copyeditor’s Handbook/Workbook. I hold completed certifications for proofreading, copy editing, and freelancing.
I can use Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Docs; whichever medium you prefer, I can make work. I’m quite familiar with tracking changes and I’ve been annotating by hand even longer.
