Brewer Editorial Services
Freelance editor who specializes in science fiction, fantasy, horror, speculative fiction, LGBTQIA+ fiction, and mysteries. Formerly I was an editor at Penguin Random House. I’ve worked on hundreds of projects for national brands, New York Times bestselling authors, major publishers, award winning authors, and independent authors. I have experience in the literary to commercial, and edit things as short as flash fiction to long epic novels. I love almost all fantasy subgenres, including historical fantasy, epic fantasy, dark fantasy/horror, fairy tale retellings, contemporary fantasy, and urban fantasy. In science fiction, I love great worlds and concepts, whether it is in space opera, post apocalyptic, military SF, time travel, and high concept science fiction. I’m always on the lookout for projects that are quirky, unusual, dark, and queer. There is nothing like a good horror novel, and I love genre bending.
I love working on cozy mysteries, and LGBTIA+ fiction, which I also do sensitivity reads for.
