Miko Marsh

Write Heart Publishing

Developmental and content editor – My goal is to bridge the gap between what the author intends to say and the message the reader receives.

I search for the sections in your manuscript that are “reading speedbumps” that confuse readers or pull them out of the story.  Most of my edits are for nonfiction and poetry, but I may be able to assist with a fiction project.

I love learning and helping people achieve their goals. This combination has helped me to accumulate a wealth of experience from education, work, volunteer projects, and life that I am able to use as I work with others. These include feedback in multiple spaces/subjects.

  • Multi-genre Author – written and published 20+ titles – nonfiction, women’s fiction, children’s stories
  • Editor – worked as part of a team of editors for a hybrid press; organized, edited, and published a poetry anthology; provided revision assistance and coaching for dozens of first-time authors
  • Business Owner – owned and operated a home daycare for about 15 years
  • Caregiver – provided direct care services for children, seniors, relatives, and in behavioral health facilities for individuals with various physical, mental, intellectual, and/or emotional challenges
  • Instructor/Tutor – wrote 100+ Bible-based blogs for Christian ministries; presented workshops for several writing organizations; tutored students in math, reading, and piano

I encourage questions and invite authors to set up a consultation/meet-and-greet with me so that we can discuss the project, concerns, and goals for your work.
