Hello! My name is Marissa, and I am a freelance proofreader and copyeditor. I’ve also operated as an independent contractor for a large editing company for five years. In this time, I’ve edited over 2.4 million words across more than 900 documents in a variety of fields, from academic research to marketing and fiction.

I am a native English speaker with a wealth of experience editing ESL documents and teaching online ESL courses. Note that I edit all documents for consistency with standard US English. Therefore, I cannot edit non-English documents or guarantee consistency with other dialects of English (e.g., British, Australian, or Canadian English).
