Lisa Rengo George

I was born in a small town in northern Michigan.  I graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1983 with a BA in English and Latin.  I then moved to San Francisco, where I ended up earning an MA in Classical Studies (the ancient Greek and Roman worlds) at San Francisco State University.  I then was offered a full fellowship with stipend to Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, PA, one of the Seven Sisters.  I earned another MA and my PhD in Classical Studies there in 1997.  I taught at Bryn Mawr, Skidmore College (Saratoga Springs, NY), Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ), and Tulane University (New Orleans, LA) before leaving academics to take care of my ailing mother. I now live back in northern Michigan and am loving the peace and solitude after so many years of city living.
