I have over 30 years of professional technical writing & editing experience at some pretty badass places such as:

• Marriott International HQ – Senior business analyst (BA) for the Loyalty program portion of marriott.com
• Microsoft, IBM, PWC – BA and software engineer
• US State Department, US Dept. of Homeland Security/US Customs & Immigration Services – Senior BA for AWS/AI/ML system
• Nonprofits such as American Society of Clinical Oncology, Higher Education Consultants Assn., Association of Authors’ Representatives (AAR) – website design, development, and technical writer for user manuals, emails, FAQs, How-To guides, KB (knowledge base articles)
• and many others over the years including substantial pro bono work for local organizations.

I am an expert at making technical information accessible to non-technical people.

I am proficient in multiple programming/scripting languages: C/C++, Python, Java, Javascript, HTML/CSS, markdown, VBA for macros. I have familiarity with JSON. I have 20+ years creating or directing UX design. I have used Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, and other tools of the trade extensively.

Because of my career background, I am necessarily concise & thorough with extreme attention to details — not just the words, but overall layout and design. I am also excellent at helping non-native English speakers clarify their technical writing in English.
