Jessica Snyder
I started as an intern with Entangled Publishing in 2013 and was promoted to editorial assistant in 2014. I participated in the entire editing process for romance and young adult fiction, from acquiring “slush pile” submissions, to first, second and third pass editing, to galley proofreads. Since 2016, I have provided freelance editing services to authors, including developmental edits, line edits, copy edits, proofreads, and manuscript critiques as well as coaching and project management.
I’m a current member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, Romance Writers of America and Washington Romance Writers.
I’m a full-time corporate recruiter and a US Army veteran with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Intelligence Studies (like spies and military intelligence, not learning and psychology). I have a dog and a cat, I like to bake things that are very difficult and often French, and I’ve used my passport every year since 1995 (except 1997).
I share sage editing advice, silly memes and pet photos on my Facebook page. And you can see my boring day-job credentials on LinkedIn.
