I’m a professional literary editor with a keen eye for detail, the highest ethical standards, and excellent communication skills. From my early focus on creative writing, to a master’s degree in literature, and more than twenty years of professional experience, my skills are honed to offer robust editing services to a wide range of clients, including publishing companies, businesses, and independent authors.
As an editor with Heidi Dorr Literary Services, I provide a wide range of services: manuscript evaluation; developmental editing; authenticity/diversity reading; and proofreading. I’ve edited seventy+ books to date and am equally proficient with finely detailed work and macro-level work. As an authenticity/diversity reader, I accurately and respectfully identify unconscious bias, stereotypes, inaccurate language, and provide in-depth feedback.
Words—in written and spoken form—have a power that is both a joy and a responsibility to work with. Words can be cathartic, instructive, engaging, and even life-changing.
