Hannah Orlando

Myth & Verity, Inc.

Hannah (she/they), Senior Editor for Myth & Verity, Inc. is a queer writer, reader, and editor.

She has editing and publishing experience with small presses and literary magazines across the United States. She has a BA in Earth Science from Sacramento State University, a Literary Publishing Certificate from American River College, and an in-progress MFA in Creative Writing, Poetry from Ashland University.

With a professional background in education and literary publishing, she learned first hand how discriminatory traditional outlets of learning and publishing are historically. Ever since then, it has been her goal to lift up writers of all backgrounds, with a focus on disadvantaged communities.

Hannah reads broadly for it is more about the stories resonating with her personally than the genre. She actively seeks out LGBTQIA+ and other marginalized and diverse voices in literature.

However, she edits with a focus on fantasy–all subgenres and adult, new adult, and young adult focuses–and of course, poetry. She will edit other genres if the story or author resonates with her. Part of quality editing is the connection and dedication to the work and its purpose.

Services

As Senior Editor at Myth & Verity, Inc. Hannah offers full-service editing: manuscript evaluation, substantive and developmental editing, copyediting, line editing, proofreading, and sensitivity and authenticity reading.

Hannah and Myth & Verity, Inc. have limited spots open for the rest of the 2024 year for any editing and reading needs.
