I’m Hannah, a freelance editor and proofreader specializing in poetry, short stories, novels, and personal copy (think blogs, social media posts, websites, etc.). I hold a bachelor’s degree in creative writing and communications, and I continue to take editing courses to improve my skills. My experience includes four years as the senior poetry editor for a literary magazine, an amazing internship at Yale University Press, and more than four years as a writing tutor. I’m also a published poet, so my main focus is creating a space where writers feel comfortable being vulnerable and sharing their stories with me. It’s a vulnerable thing, sharing a part of yourself with someone else, let alone asking them to give feedback. I promise to treat my writers and their stories with the kindness they need to flourish and, if its the writers’ will, to be shared and impact the world.
