Faolan Green Editorial
Above all, I am a lover of the written word, and of the many-layered process of writing. As an editor, I team keen feedback with boundless encouragement. I work with both creative and academic writers, and offer developmental editing, line editing, and copyediting, as well as manuscript evaluations.
For creative writers, I specialize in literary fiction, speculative fiction, and some historicals, though I am open to working with other genres! I also have experience working with poetry, short fiction, and graphic novels. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have, about the editing process or to see if we’re a good fit.
For academic writers, my editing and mentoring experience is in the broad fields of the humanities, specifically visual arts, art history, gender and cultural theory, and literature. I have six years of experience as a writing consultant at an art and design university, where I supported students in their writing from brainstorming to finished product, with the goal of helping them build strong writing skills that they can take forward with them into future projects. I have worked with undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. If you have an assignment you need help with, from a short written response to a dissertation-length document, please feel free to contact me to see if I can be of service to you!
As a writer myself, I understand how writing can be alternatingly invigorating and then discouraging. I’ve been a part of workshopping groups for the past nineteen years, facilitated a university creative writing group for six years, and co-taught an introductory course on creative writing at the post-secondary level. All of this has underscored my belief that having support—and a fresh pair of eyes—can not only strengthen your writing, but help you through the process itself, and get you to the finish line.
