I have more than two decades of experience editing and writing memoir, personal essays, craft essays, feature articles and columns, blog posts, website copy, bios, book proposals, query letters, and other marketing-specific copy.
I was an in-house technology magazine editor for many years, but my first love is creative nonfiction. Do you have a draft of a memoir manuscript, essay collection, or self-help/business book that needs “big picture” edits, structural help, or meticulous copyediting at the line level using a specific style guide? I am here for you! I am well versed in the latest version of the Chicago Manual of Style and am adept at adjusting to style guide preferences, as well as creating and adhering to a style sheet specific to a manuscript.
I provide developmental editing, line editing, copyediting, and proofreading services for most nonfiction and literary/contemporary fiction. I am a current approved vendor as a copyeditor/proofreader at Simon & Schuster, with experience proofreading their memoirs.
