She embarked on a new adventure in 2020 and 2021, during COVID shutdowns, by becoming an online (part-time) summer teacher for Outschool. She taught a design class to kids ages 10-15 years old entitled, ‘How to Design and Decorate a Super Cool Bedroom.’ She even taught a crafts class to kids at Michael’s Arts & Crafts.

Carla served as a Board Director for Community of Organizational Development in Chicagoland and is a current member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and past member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
