What’s the story only you can tell?

Whether it’s a short story, blog for your business, final edits before you send off your manuscript, or you’re wondering how to get your swirling ideas on the page, I’d love to help you tell your story in your voice, exactly how you want to tell it.

I care about every last detail so that you can focus on fulfilling your vision. As an editor, I value 1) your time and energy, 2) purposeful collaboration, and 3) creative joy. I’m committed to delivering top-tier results on time and in full.

As a systems-minded and creative organizer with 8+ years teaching writing courses and workshops in higher ed as well as 7+ years program development and web-based writing expertise, I know the importance of clearly mapping out needs, vision, and expectations as the first step. My goal is to make the process of editing and revising unfold as seamlessly and meaningfully as possible for my clients.

Additional non-genre specializations include:

– Inclusive language editing (topics include class, disability, gender, housing, immigration, neurodiversity, race, religion, sexuality, substance use, and trauma)

– Trauma-informed care

– Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging (DEIB)

– Social justice

– Immigration and 2nd gen experience

– BIPOC and BIPOC ambiguous

I have an MFA in creative writing from The Ohio State University (fiction) and numerous publications of my own in literary journals. I received several writing fellowships, including the Milton Postgraduate Fellowship that brought me to Seattle in 2015. I know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of feedback and the numerous challenges of any writing project, which helps me to anticipate the needs of my clients.
