Throughline Editing

I am a developmental and line/stylistic editor for academic authors publishing in the humanities and qualitative social sciences. I have edited scholarly manuscripts in history, anthropology, comparative literature, and geography.

Developmental and line editing can help you communicate your ideas more effectively to the readers you want to reach. I’ll help you clarify your argument and provide clear feedback and steps for revisions. I specialize in line/stylistic editing for multilingual authors and developmental editing for authors at any phase of manuscript development. I am fluent in Spanish and often use that proficiency to check or correct translations and adjust syntax for clarity and flow.

I earned my PhD in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018 and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Princeton University in 2021. I have published my research in the Hispanic American Historical Review and completed a certificate in Professional Editing Standards at Queen’s University in April 2022.

I am passionate about clear, engaging, persuasive writing. Whether you are working on a book manuscript, book proposal, journal article, or grant application, I will help you pull it together around your big idea: the throughline.
