My career as a copy editor and proofreader began in 2002. I’ve enjoyed editing a variety of materials using my exclusive Covert Operative Method of Editing, beginning with children’s educational materials and moving on to manuscripts for fiction and nonfiction children’s books as well as adult novels and nonfiction that have been published in Christian or clean markets. My extensive experience covers nearly everything from picture books to middle grade readers to young adult novels; adult fiction including historical, humor, mystery, and clean romance; and nonfiction that includes inspirational, devotional, Bible studies, and personal memoirs.

I offer a Covert Critique, the cost of which is deducted from the total cost of editing if the author chooses to hire me to edit the work that I critiqued.

I offer sensitivity reading and specialize in the subjects of race and disability because of my interracial family and my experience raising now-adult children with disabilities.

Note: I don’t accept work in the horror or erotica genres.
