Hello! My name is Ayden Rails, a freelance fiction editor for developmental, line, and copy edits. I am a Purdue University graduate with double BAs in both English Literature and Creative Writing. In my literature course work, I specialized in American literature and the Modernist genre. In my creative writing course work, I specialized in the craft of fiction and prose. I worked as an online English tutor for 2 years helping students with their essays, reading comprehension, language learning, and creative projects. I have always been an avid and passionate consumer of all things words and stories, especially the written variety. My favorite genres are fantasy, romance, surrealist and speculative fiction—although, I will read anything I can get my hands on.
I have two cats, Roo and Winnie, who perch on their cat tree watching me imperiously as I listen to audiobooks, crochet, solve jigsaw puzzles, paint, watch K-dramas, and daydream about traveling, hiking and rock climbing.
For information about working with me and for my editing portfolio, please visit my website at https://whalesedits.com. Looking forward to meeting you.
