Ashley Brown
Ashley Brown is an editor, writer, and educator. As a freelance editor, she works directly with clients offering copy, line, and developmental editing spanning a variety of genres. She also works as a copyeditor with Penguin Random House, Disruption Books, Mezcalita Press, and a number of other indie publishing houses. Ashley is the Editor of Hustle 2.0, Copy Editor of Tribeza: Austin Curated magazine, and Editor of Wimberley Living magazine. She writes for several publications, and teaches writing courses for the University of Oklahoma’s (distance learning) College of Professional and Continuing Studies. She’s published two books.
Ashley enjoys editing everything from memoir and self-help to fictional mysteries and period pieces. When it comes to developmental editing, she’s most excited to work on projects that tell important stories, might help others, or offer an opportunity for connection among us. Some of her personal interests include nature/animals, travel/outdoors, physical and mental well-being, spiritual exploration, relationships, music/photography, and the arts in general.
