Hello! I’m glad you found me! I’m Amy Spungen, and I’ve been editing and writing for more than 30 years. My experience ranges from editorial staff positions within nonprofit and governmental organizations to years of freelancing. I have edited nonfiction books, magazines, memoirs, novels, and entire websites. I have written and edited essays, articles, sections of books, annual reports, blog posts, poetry, and more. And I have ghostwritten for others. Throughout it all, I have been inspired by the people I work with and grateful for the opportunity to assist them in producing the most professional and effective writing possible.

When I’m not editing or writing, you can often find me horseback riding, kayaking, hiking, quilting, or gardening. I also read constantly, both for fun and professionally. A former military brat, I have lived in many states but settled in Illinois, outside of Chicago, where my husband and I raised three children. Now, let’s hear about you!
