I am very pleased to announce that Susan Patton has joined the EFA staff as of today to become our new general manager.

Susan comes to the Editorial Freelancers Association from the Association of University Presses where she started in 1998 as a program assistant. She later became membership manager and in 2018 was named membership and events director.  She was responsible for managing the Association’s Annual Conference and developed its webinar program. Her many additional duties included overseeing the membership database, producing an annual membership directory, administering the business statistical programs, and managing several professional development programs. Susan lives in New Jersey with her husband, teenage son, dog, and two cats.

We are thrilled to have someone with Susan’s deep experience in a member-focused professional association joining the EFA team. Please join me in welcoming Susan to the EFA.
