On September 15, the Los Angeles chapter held an in-person social for members in the Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo areas, organized by co-coordinator Lynn Varon. The small but enthusiastic group talked about their editorial specialties, exchanged ideas for finding clients, discovered mutual connections in the local editorial community, and enjoyed each other’s company. The event concluded with a reminder that Karla Olson, publisher for Patagonia Inc., and her colleague Carin Knudson—both of whom work in the company’s Ventura office—will be the speakers at the next regular meeting on October 19.
