The EFA Job List is a key member benefit that circulates postings for both freelance and permanent work. You can view available jobs on our Job List page or receive new postings in real time by signing up for email alerts.

Jobs are submitted to the EFA by individual clients and contain a description of the project and details such as type of manuscript, genre, topic, and word count. When you come across a job that’s a good fit, you contact the client directly. New jobs are posted Monday through Friday between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

To take advantage of this valuable benefit:

• Sign up to receive Job List email alerts so you don’t miss any opportunities.

Types of Job List Posts

✅ Rate-Chart Consistent

Jobs labeled “✅ Rate-Chart Consistent” offer pay rates consistent with the rates reported on the 2024 EFA rate chart. This information will be contained in the Job List posting, the email alert subject line, and the body of the alert as follows:

🟡 Non-Rate-Chart Consistent

Jobs labeled “🟡 Non-Rate-Chart Consistent” offer pay rates that fall below the rates reported on the 2024 EFA rate chart. This information will be contained in the Job List posting, the email alert subject line, and the body of the alert as follows:

Job List Alerts

If you are actively seeking work via the Job List, we highly recommend signing up for alerts. Members often respond to job postings very quickly, and many clients will request that we take a posting down once they have received sufficient applications.

If you do not presently receive Job List alerts and would like to, log in to your account and use the profile editor to select “Receive Job List notifications by email.”
