In October, many of us like to scare ourselves by reading a horror novel or going to a haunted house. As freelancers the ever-present need to market ourselves can often be scary.

Join fellow academic editors this month to talk about how you approach marketing your freelance services. Do you produce all of your own materials? Do you advertise on social media (and if so, do you use a tool to manage your social media accounts)? How do you find the motivation to update or send out your marketing materials?

This is part of our informal monthly Coffee Chat series, where academic editors can exchange ideas and socialize with colleagues near and far. With small breakout groups, participants are welcome to share their experiences, ask questions, or just listen.
