Houston chapter: Western Chapters Talk with Author Wendelin Van Draanen (virtual)

October 23rd @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm CDT Free

The Houston chapter joins the western EFA chapters for a free, virtual meeting Wed., Oct. 23, 2 to 3:30 p.m. (Central), for an interview-styled presentation by children’s and YA author Wendelin Van Draanen. A Q&A will follow. We’ll be talking about working with editors from the author’s POV.

Our guest is an international-award-winning, bestselling author of more than thirty novels that readers enjoy around the world. She is the author of the eighteen-book Edgar-winning Sammy Keyes mystery series, and her novel Flipped became a Warner Brothers feature film. A former high school teacher, Van Draanen lives on the central coast of California. Her first nonfiction book, Hope in the Mail: Reflections on Writing and Life, is part memoir, part writing guide, and part publishing insight, suitable for teen and adult readers, especially those who want to write. Visit WendelinVanD.com, or follow Van Draanen on social platforms @WendelinVanD.

Please register here via Zoom for this meeting.

For any questions, feel free to contact the Los Angeles chapter at chap_losangeles@the-efa.org or amy@editoramy.com (Houston chapter).
