EFA at 2022 DFWCon
L-R: EFA member volunteers Amber Helt, Richelle Braswell, Ingrid Scroggins, and Leslie Lutz
It was so good to be back at DFWCon with the EFA table. Volunteering with the EFA is a wonderful opportunity to get to know the local writers, publishing organizations, and fellow editors. We set up our table with all the goodies and chatted with everyone who stopped by about the EFA and how we serve editors and writers alike.
We had two full-time volunteers at the table in the morning and a second shift in the afternoons, but fellow chapter members who were attending the conference for their own writing projects frequently stopped by to help at the table between sessions. Volunteering for the EFA at events like this is a great reminder of how valuable this organization is and is an excellent way to deepen professional relationships with the other members. Editing doesn’t have to be an isolated industry, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to show up in person for my chapter and represent the EFA as a team with my chapter.
