I’ve been a freelance copyeditor and proofreader since 1997. I specialize in the humanities, the social sciences, literacy, and education. Much of my educational work has been in the English language arts, including ELL, ESL, ESOL, and similar areas. I also have experience with legal, health and medical, and business publications. My clients include educational publishers, trade publishers, university presses, academic journals, nonprofit organizations, research and consulting groups, and individual authors and researchers.
I have extensive experience with both print and digital materials in all stages of publication and am proficient in Word, Acrobat, InCopy, K4, and numerous online content management systems. I’m well versed in the most commonly used style guides—Chicago, APA, MLA, AMA, Bluebook—and quickly learn in-house style guides and preferences.
