Fran's Fine Editing

Proofreader, editor, and Certified Professional Resume Writer with over 30 years of experience in both for-profit and nonprofit industries. Since 2008, I have operated Fran’s Fine Editing, helping small business owners and individuals with editing web copy, business documents, marketing materials, resumes and bios, fiction and nonfiction books, dissertations and theses, screenplays and other documents. I am expert in using Chicago, AP, MLA, APA and other common styles. I also partner with other editors who can provide developmental editing and indexing services. My previous career was with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Human Resources Division, where I won a governor’s award for excellence in 1992. I have a BA in psychology from Stonehill College. I am a board member, secretary and committee chair for the Greater Easthampton Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Women Business Owners Alliance of Pioneer Valley, the Women’s Business Network, the Professional Resume Writers and Career Coaches Association, and the Editorial Freelancers Association. I live in Western Massachusetts with my wife, Jean, and our pets. In my free time, I enjoy writing flash fiction, taking nature hikes, and researching family history.
