Need your novel or memoir given strong, objective feedback? As a published writer, former literary agent’s assistant and freelance book editor, I can give you in-depth, helpful, critical-but-kind feedback that will help you get from A to Z. I not only point out what’s working and what isn’t but I also suggest comprehensive solutions to your book problems. My goal is to see you succeed.
I specialize in adult literary and commercial novels and memoir. If you’re unsure: Email me: michaelmohreditor@gmail.com.
I focus on developmental editing, looking at plot, structure, character-development, voice, dialogue, logic issues, ARC, veracity, etc. The zoomed-out big-picture: what’s working, what isn’t, and why.
My most well-known published client is Christian Picciolini, author of “WHITE AMERICAN YOUTH: My Descent into America’s Most Violent Hate Movement—and How I Got Out.” (Dec, 2017, Hachette Books.) He was interviewed on 60 Minutes, Sarah Silverman, Megyn Kelly, Sam Harris, NPR, etc. He currently has an MSNBC TV docu-series airing called Breaking Hate. I edited his book of the same name (Breaking Hate) as well, which was published (Hachette) Feb 25, 2020. His website: www.christianpicciolini.com.
If you have a novel or memoir in the early stages, or you feel your project is just about ready to submit to an agent, shoot me an email and we can discuss your project further. I charge 5 cents/word for full manuscripts and $70/hour for coaching/chapter-by-chapter commentary/development. I am open to discussing ghost-writing projects or other writing/editing projects as well.
