I make books. I design from the ground up, so that each book is the best one it can be for both the reader and my client. I’ll work on very nearly any subject and style. I have worked on books about fitness, texts heavy with math and equations, novels, and WWII histories; books about cooking, spiritual growth, and financial planning. All manner of books and all kinds of material are all my specialty.
I started out as a copy editor and proofreader, learning how words should look on the printed page long before I set type and designed books. The Macintosh computer and Postscript page description language made it possible for me to take my design aesthetic, love of type and words, and complete inability to draw so much as a straight line and make books. All these years later, it is what I love to do.
