The EFA has partnered with the brilliant Cecilia Tan, award-winning novelist, short story writer, and founder of erotic science fiction and fantasy publisher Circlet Press, on an exciting new endeavor.

After Cecilia delivered her outstanding “Freelance Heroes: The Cost of Saving the Day” keynote last August at EFACON 2023, we were so impressed that we asked if she’d allow us to make her fabulous freelance superheroes available to the wider world.

Lucky for all of us, she agreed. And the EFA Editorial Superheroes Collection was born. Meet our three brave characters who, like our freelancer members, swoop in to save the day!

Have a comma-deficient manuscript in need of help, STAT? Comma Jockey will ride in on his trusty steed to the rescue. Working for a client whose comma use is, shall we say, excessive? Comma Ninja has you covered as she slashes away all unnecessary punctuation. Are you an editorial freelancer seeking a superhero who embodies all of your own superpowers? Meet your alterego, Superpencil! No phone booth required. (Some of a freelancer’s best work is done in their pajamas, right?)

Order your sweet new swag today

Head on over to the EFAShop storefront on TeePublic and get your hands on all the superhero swag your heart desires: T-shirts, baseball caps, mugs, totes, pillows, and more!

Share your selfies

Once your new merch arrives, go ahead and show it off for the world to see—and, if you are so inclined, please do take some selfies and post them to the EFA’s social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

We hope EFA members, clients, guests and fans alike will enjoy our new superheroes!
