Western Chapters Talk with Author Wendelin Van Draanen

October 23rd @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm PDT

The SF/Bay Area Chapter joins the Western EFA chapters for an interview styled presentation by children’s and YA author Wendelin Van Draanen. A Q&A will follow. We’ll be talking about working with editors from the author’s POV.

Our guest is an international-award-winning, bestselling author of more than 30 novels enjoyed by readers around the world. She is the author of the 18-book Edgar-winning Sammy Keyes mystery series, and her novel Flipped became a Warner Brothers feature film. A former high school teacher, Van Draanen lives on the central coast of California. Her first nonfiction book, Hope in the Mail: Reflections on Writing and Life, is part memoir, part writing guide, and part publishing insight, suitable for teen and adult readers, especially those who want to write.
