Amanda Barnes
Hi everyone! My name is Amanda. I live in Colorado with my husband and baby boy. I graduated in 2021 with my Bachelor’s of Arts in English and Creative Writing with a concentration in Fiction.
I started out Beta Reading for a variety of authors when I was in high school and took a multitude of writing classes within high school and college. I took an editing class in college, which helped me improve my craft. In one of my last college courses, I had to read the work of classmates and give feedback. I focused on not only the flow of the story, but also grammatical issues. I have always had a passion for editing, as back in high school, I was asked to read over what my parents would write to make sure everything flowed and the grammar was correct.
To this day, I am often asked to correct errors in emails and I find myself cringing if there is an error in a novel.
