The Academic Editing Chapter Presents: Let’s Talk About . . . Indexing
Register to join the Academic Editing Chapter on Monday, June 10, at 10 a.m. PDT / 1 p.m. EDT to discuss all things indexing. This presentation from Jolanta N. Komornicka and Alex Peace (co-presidents, Indexing Society of Canada / Société canadienne d’indexation) will introduce you to the basics of the indexing process, explain how editors fit into the scheme, and show how an index is an asset for your client’s book.
Jolanta Komornicka is an indexer, editor, and proofreader. She currently serves as the co-president of the Indexing Society of Canada/Société canadienne d’indexation and is the incoming co-chair of the KWG Twig of Editors Canada. She came to the publishing world by way of academia, where she was an assistant professor of medieval history.
Alexandra Peace is an indexer and editor. She has volunteered for Editors Canada at the regional and national levels. Alex was president of the Indexing Society of Canada / Société canadienne d’indexation for seven years and now is happily past president.
