"Absolutely wonderful! I'm impressed with the level of expertise of your members."
—a novelist
I am happy to write to let you know that I’ve hired an editor for our book through the ad we placed with EFA. I had a number of good responses, but [the person we hired] was just a perfect fit for this author and topic. I did touch base with a few other editors and I do expect to be looking for more opportunities to hire other EFA members. Thanks for your assistance and support!
—senior content development manager at major U.S. publisher
Thanks, EFA. Your membership is outstanding. I have filled the job I posted earlier this week. Couldn’t be happier. BTW, of the 62 responses to my project, 45 came from EFA, 8 from ACES and 9 from Upwork. Glad to say I hired an EFA editor.
—historical fiction author

The EFA neither sets rates nor advises members on what rates or rate structures they should choose. Individual members’ rates vary considerably depending on the nature of the work, the time frame of the assignment, the degree of special expertise required, the member’s experience, and other factors. Job List submissions require the client to state the rate their job pays, which can either be a set amount or a range.
The EFA’s 3,300+ members possess a wide array of editorial skills, specialties, and expertise. To learn about the various types of work that these top-notch freelance professionals do, see our list of member skills and descriptions of the editorial services members provide.
