I’m Delene Case White, owner and founder of DCW Editorial Services. I am an editor and translator with Ph.D. in German Studies. I’m a generalist editor with experience in developmental (or structural) editing, copy-editing, and stylistic editing. My translation specialities are literature and literary studies, film and media, and I have an interest in legal and medical fields. I also offer proofreading.
I started this business because I enjoy working with people in all kinds of creative endeavors. I also have a keen eye for details, so I’m well-suited for editorial work. Sometimes writers I work with need some encouragement or may need coaching in an area such as research or writing tips. I have many years of experience in research, writing, and teaching that I apply in my work with authors.
I am unique because I offer an academic background in the humanities, years of research and teaching language and writing skills, literature and film, as well as experience in translating, Open Educational Resources and website design.
