The 2018 EFA Booklets Campaign Is Here!
It’s that time of the year again!
It’s time for EFA members to contribute to the educational resources available to other EFA members and the public by writing informative 20-page/5,000-word booklets on topics relevant to editors, writers, and freelancers. The EFA Booklets Campaign is managed by the EFA Publications Committee. The booklets will be available in ebook and print book versions in our webstore. If you want your EFA booklet to also be available in a print format, you must also submit the back cover copy and a profile picture when you submit your edited manuscript.
There is an FAQ sheet available here.
A new cover is being designed for 2018.
Mark your calendars; here are some important dates:
- Wednesday, April 25, 2018: The 2018 EFA Booklets Campaign officially opens for submission of tentative titles. At this time, the committee only wants your tentative title. You can check the catalog of previous booklets for ideas. Please submit your title ideas to the Publications Committee at publications@the-efa.org by May 23, 2018.
- Wednesday, June 6, 2018: Notification of acceptance of the 2018 titles will be sent out by email, as well as the initial paperwork required.
- Wednesday, August 1, 2018: Edited and proofread manuscripts and all final EFA paperwork documents are due. The only formatting that will be accepted are headings 1 and 2 (H1 and H2); all manuscripts must be submitted as Word .doc or .docx. Please, no other headers, footers, page numbers, or tables of contents. We will generate those during final formatting. Please also include all of the contact information you want us to include in your booklet. After your manuscript is approved and all of your paperwork is accepted, you will receive your honorarium check from the EFA Office (please make sure we have your desired postal address).
- Wednesday, October 3, 2018: All EFA booklets will be published to our webstore at Lulu.com in digital and print (if desired) formats.
After you have read the FAQs, if you still have any questions, please email Pam at publications@the-efa.org.
Thank you for your interest in the 2018 EFA Booklets Campaign!
