EFA's Virginia chapter welcomes all EFA members who live in Virginia to join. Contact April by e-mail if you're a Virginia member and would like to join her in organizing chapter activities in the state. Though many of the activities have taken place in the Richmond area, we are happy to have meetings wherever there is a need. Kristen King, a freelance copywriter and communications consultant, will speak about social media and social networking, specifically discussing Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Kristen speaks regularly to writing groups and professional organization in the DC Metro area on networking and self-promotion, with emphasis on websites and the Internet. Kristen's Inkthinker blog was named one of the Top 10 Blogs for Writers in 2006, and her original freelance business website was among the finalists for the 2006 Writer's Digest Best Writer's Website Contest.

This will be a low-key session that focuses on Q&A and will give all professionals an opportunity to discuss their own current marketing materials/strategies.
