Tax Issues for Freelancers

Thursday, June 8, 2017

Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 8 at 5:30pm. We’ll be meeting at the SF Public Library Main Branch again, in the Third Floor Paley conference room.

We’ll be hearing from local CPA Will Jones of Boyd & Associates about common tax issues facing freelancers and solo proprietors, as well as how we may be impacted by the tax code overhaul currently on the table.

Will has been working in the financial services industry since 2002, providing financial planning, investments and tax services. His focus is working with small businesses from the inception stage to succession, to help them reach their profit goals and build legacies by taking advantage of legal tax loopholes and strategies. Will has a Masters in Taxation (MST) degree from Taft University and a Finance degree from San Diego State University, and is an IRS Enrolled Agent.

If you'd like to be added to the mailing list for updates and news, please email Kristen at kristen@thebluegarret.com.

Editor Marta Tanrikulu will discuss strategies on how to deal with editing projects when there aren't enough resources to do them properly.
