B.A.G.E.L.: Brooklyn Networking Group

In March 2006, EFA members in Brooklyn, N.Y., started to meet informally at a local restaurant, for the sociability of it and what developed as "focused networking": choosing one attendee to be the recipent of the entire group's attention in solving whatever professional problem the lucky person wanted to bring up. The group met until July 2009, at which point the coordinator, David Hall, had to withdraw because of a pending move to Michigan. In November 2009, Claudia Gutwirth stepped in as coordinator, in the hopes that BAGEL (Brooklyn Associates for a Greater English Language) will continue to be a useful resource for both EFA members and those who are contemplating membership. And if members across the country would like to get together in a similar fashion, EFA will gladly post your news and meeting dates here.

Activities of the Brooklyn local networking group will be posted here. For additional information, contact Claudia Gutwirth, chapter coordinator, at claudiajojo AT aol DOT com. Local networking group events are open to all members and guests of members.
